Modern Technology

Modern technology is all about efficiency and speed; it is about ensuring face-to-face communication, and empowering you by giving you more access and control to the kind of care you get as well as service you receive.

Weighing systems play a critical role across the gamut of industry, providing organisations and users with vital information that enables them to improve their yields, meet legislative requirements, enhance the safety of the working environment and boost their operating efficiencies.
From high precision laboratory balances to heavy-duty scales, the process of accurate weighing is vital and we are constantly being challenged to meet customer demands for innovative products that deliver on price, functionality, quality, reliability, safety, durability and performance.

Difference between Mass & Weight

Mass is a physical quantity that is a measure of the amount of material an object consists of. The mass of an object is the same, no matter where in the universe the measurement is taken. Weight describes the 'heaviness' of an object and is dependent upon the gravitational force exerted upon it. As the gravitational force varies between different locations in the world, and also by altitude in the same place, balances and scales must be adjusted at their point of use. Weight = mass x gravity. As an example, an object weighed on the moon will register only one sixth of its weight on earth. However, the mass of the object is constant.

Traceability

Traceability is defined as the property of a measurement result or standard which is related to suitable national or international standards by an unbroken chain of comparative measurements with stated measurement uncertainties and is thus traceable to a generally valid basic physical quantity.
Calibration weights are mainstays in most labs as they help ensure that lab balances are giving you accurate readings. However, they are not all made the same. Calibration weights are assigned a class which is based on the accuracy or tolerance of the weight. In addition, there are certifications granted to weights of all classes.
